I have been getting some comments from people trying to find information about friends in Chennai or India. I have started a new Blog called Tsunami India to help such people. If you want to know information about a friend, just mail me or post a comment in one of the blogs. If you know about someone being searched for, leave a comment in the appropriate post.
Do spread the news around, so that we can help people get in touch with friends and relatives.

Dear DotNet India,
Thank you for your website, rather blog. I will be straight forward.
I dislike India insourcing. I believe the current business model is wrong. The total percent gain I have experienced in my company is x% from outsourcing my 44 dotnet developers. Not bad. That money saved. But, the dollar has slumped a little, and the politicians are getting a lot of feedback from the general public. To be honest, the 3 companies I have delt with from India have led to subpar results. I currently pay 3500/month to india for what I believe is 44000/yr in the USA for the same amount of work. That enormous money saved. But w/ pay raises, better benefits (can you say, Bell Curve? ) , etc, for how long?
my question to you, oh great dotnet india, do I seriously, marketing and all BS aside, see a future in outsourcing my development efforts to India? Tactics are changing, and I just hired a developer, a H1B visa individual in the USA for 3x the price of the indian developer but there are better benefits long term per BUSH to working Anil to death here in the USA under H1 or Green Card.
Honestly, I am pulling back my developers. I am relocating by the USA. I have realized Indian outsourcing is not the long term future. My tech support from Dell was better from Texas than Bangalore, and apparently my development efforts are starting to, unfortunately as I love my Mother India greatly, following suite.Good luck middle class India: buy all your American products quick, the end is near. thanks.

Anuj, Well outsourcing is something that has political and economic sides to it. I will not debate the rights or the wrongs, but the point is, if you do work with a good company or freelancer, I would expect the quality to be relativly the same whether the software is created in the US or in India. I would assume the ratio of good to bad programmers is kind of constant the world over..:-)
